Laksa Johor Special buatan mama

In my post this time, I would like to share with you about Laksa Johor. Have you ever taste one before? Well, my mom is having a small business in selling this Laksa Johor. So, whether you haven't yet or have already, you can try my mom's cooking.

I personally think hers are the best, not because she is my mom, no. It simply because of the taste itself. She is so generous in terms of ingredients, it makes her gravy very thick & tasty. Unlike most Laksa Johor I tasted before which gravies were either very oily, watery or tasteless.

Inherited her talent from my late grandma who was also a Johorean, her Laksa Johor always being praised by many of her Johoreans friends. After she turned 52, she felt so tired to work in office & retired. She then discovered her 'rezeki' in small business & started to make Laksa Johor & is doing fine nowadays. As a daughter, I feel it is my responsibility to do my part, which is to help mom in promoting her Laksa Johor. Hehe ^_^

Ok before I go further, which I believe I had done so (hehe), let me write a bit introduction on Laksa Johor if some of you have still never heard of this Malaysian Cuisine.

"Johor laksa (Malay: Laksa Johor), from Johor state in southern Malaysia, resembles Penang laksa only in the kind of fish used but differs in everything else. Johor laksa has coconut milk, use kerisik, dried prawns, lemon grass, galangal and spices akin to curry. The garnishing comprises slices of onion, beansprouts (taugeh), mint leaves, Vietnamese coriander or 'daun kesum', cucumber and pickled white radish. Sambal belacan (a kind of chili paste) is placed on the side. Finally, just before eating, freshly squeezed lime juice is sprinkled on the dish. Unique to Johor laksa is its Italian connection – spaghetti is used instead of the normal rice noodles or vermicelli. Johor laksa is traditionally eaten using the hand and the noodles are usually knitted (cetak) into a disk for each serving."

Sources: Wikipedia Laksa

Ok, as mentioned above, it is eaten using the hand, so don't go using fork & spoon or chop sticks, as it wont deliver much 'feel' to you. Hahaha..

So here's the shot.

This one was prepared by Mom for customer's order which were 50 packets of Laksa Johor. Using Ikan Tenggiri in making the gravy, she charges her Laksa Johor @ RM6 per packet. Ikan Tenggiri are costly compared to most gravy which uses Ikan Sardin or Ikan Kembung. Using Ikan Tenggiri will make the gravy thick & tasty.

The finish product which is ready to eat. Sambal Belacan, Air Limau, Jeruk Lobak, Timun & Bawang are combine together & mix with the Spaghetti for maximum taste. My mom is from Johor & her Laksa Johor is adopted from its state of origin, Johor Darul Takzim.

Apart from making Laksa Johor, mom also sells Mee Rebus @ RM4.50 per packet. She adopted Johorean/Jawa Style in making her Mee Rebus. Absolutely delicious!

I bet you are already drooling by now. So am I. ^_^

Vaginal Candidiasis ~ Article by PubMedHealth

I just recently realised the importance of maintaining a good feminine hygiene & I gotta share some infos that I had just gained pertaining to this subject. Of course I'd received a good education on this since school & understood that such part is very delicate & requires extra care but all I know was simply the basic fundamentals & only now I realised there is more to learn as far as the feminine hygiene subject is concern. I may write based on my own personal experience & I would like to share it so that some of you can benefit from it. As the wise men say, "preventions are better than cure". True, indeed.

I wouldn't bother to include this topic in my blog if what I'm currently facing did not open my eyes & gives an impact to my life. I think it is crucial for all girls to gain ample of infos on the subject pertaining to the prevention of any vaginal infections. Once you get infected due to care negligence, you will be so stress & unhappy. Extra care needed to be taken at that point of time to cure the disease & this will leads to frustrations in terms of health, money, relationship with your partner & your self-confidence.

I think that many of us are open to vaginal infection, not only to miscarried women or pregnant women, but all of us. Especially those who have more white discharge daily.

Girls, I hope this article that I had taken from a website will be useful to you & take care! :-)

So let's read some of the infos here:-

What is Vaginal Yeast Infection?
 Vaginal yeast infection is an infection of the vagina, most commonly due to the fungus Candida albicans.
*Source: PubMed Health

Causes, Incidents & Risk Factors
Most women have a vaginal yeast infection at some time. Candida albicans is a common type of fungus. It is often found in small amounts in the vagina, mouth, digestive tract, and on the skin. Usually it does not cause disease or symptoms.
Candida and the many other germs that normally live in the vagina keep each other in balance. However, sometimes the number of Candida albicans increases, leading to a yeast infection.
This can happen if you are:
  • Taking antibiotics used to treat other types of infections. Antibiotics change the normal balance between germs in the vagina by decreasing the number of protective bacteria.
  • Pregnant
  • Obese
  • Have diabetes
A yeast infection is not a sexually transmitted illness. However, some men will develop symptoms such as itching and a rash on the penis after having sexual contact with an infected partner.
Having many vaginal yeast infections may be a sign of other health problems. Other vaginal infections and discharges can be mistaken for a vaginal yeast infection.

Treatment
Medications to treat vaginal yeast infections are available in either creams or suppositories. Most can be bought without a prescription.
Treating yourself at home is probably okay if:
  • Your symptoms are mild and you do not have pelvic pain or a fever
  • This is not your first yeast infection and you have not had many yeast infections in the past
  • You are not pregnant
  • You are not worried about other sexually transmitted diseases from recent sexual contact
Medications you can buy yourself to treat a vaginal yeast infection are:
Read the packages carefully and use them as directed. Do not stop using these medications early because your symptoms are better. You will need to take the medicine for 3 - 7-days, depending on which medicine you buy. If you do not get get repeated infections, a 1-day medicine might work for you.
You doctor can also prescribe a medicine called fluconazole. This medicine is a pill that you only take once.
If your symptoms are more severe or you have repeat vaginal yeast infections, you may need:
  • Medicine for up to 14 days
  • Clotrimazole vaginal suppository or fluconazole pill every week to prevent new infections
To help prevent and treat vaginal discharge:
  • Keep your genital area clean and dry. Avoid soap and rinse with water only. Sitting in a warm, but not hot, bath may help your symptoms.
  • Avoid douching. Although many women feel cleaner if they douche after menstruation or intercourse, it may actually worsen vaginal discharge because it removes healthy bacteria lining the vagina that protect against infection.
  • Eat yogurt with live cultures or take Lactobacillus acidophilus tablets when you are on antibiotics to prevent a yeast infection.
  • Use condoms to avoid catching or spreading sexually transmitted infection (STI).
  • Avoid using feminine hygiene sprays, fragrances, or powders in the genital area.
  • Avoid wearing extremely tight-fitting pants or shorts, which may cause irritation.
  • Wear cotton underwear or cotton-crotch pantyhose. Avoid underwear made of silk or nylon, because these materials are not very absorbant and restrict air flow. This can increase sweating in the genital area, which can cause irritation.
  • Use pads and not tampons.
  • Keep your blood sugar levels under good control if you have diabetes.

Pusat Akuatik Kompleks Sukan Negara Bukit Jalil

Last Monday was a public holiday in lieu of Thaipusam celebration. Me & my hubby didn't have any plans for the day. Earlier that morning I had just completed a 3 consecutive days of massage treatment (due to the miscarriage) & had taken some sleep for a few hours to rest my whole body, til it was about 4pm.

At 5pm, we felt so boring just spending the day at home & we finally made plans with my family-in-laws to go for a swimming spree at Pusat Akuatik Kompleks Sukan Negara, Bukit Jalil. I was not allowed to join the activity due to my health condition but I was there watching them swimming like a bunch of kids. It looked really exciting! I was a bit frustrated not having the chance to experience swimming in that olympic pool :-( Can't wait to go back and have my turn!

The entrance fee was only RM5 per person-only applicable to those who wish to swim, and the rest who will just be watching, it's absolutely free of charge. Only swimming trunks & swimming suits are allowed, and swimming trunks for men are rented out at RM5 per piece.

Me & my mother-in-law are planning to buy a muslimah swimming suit. At about 6.30 pm they finally finished swimming and we went to Alpha Angel Shopping Mall @ Wangsa Maju to survey some muslimah swimming suits. They were so expensive! Almost RM300 per piece. So we went back & had dinner. We planned to survey at other places or perhaps via online later.

So here are the photos taken during the day ;-)

Look at my hubby. With the "peace" sign... Oh, so childish.. He was so excited with the swimming spree, just like a kid. Cute boy.....

My very first guitar

Today my husband bought me a brand new guitar which is the first guitar I am having on my own ^_^ I have always been using someone else's guitar, mostly my brother's and father's.

I was so excited when he brought me to Bukit Jalil. I knew right away that we were going to the famous guitar store there~"Mama Treble Clef Studio" which is famously known as "Guitar Empire"

A few days earlier I had surveyed some guitars through mudah.my & that was how I came across their ads. I told my husband about it & he started to make some selections. My husband adores Yamaha brand. As for me, I don't really mind any brand as long as it produce good sounds. So he started to post some Yamaha brand in my facebook wall but I acted cool but deep down inside I was so excited to learn that he was planning to buy me one ^_^

It was not easy to find the store, located inside the Carrefour in Endah Parade. After searching for it with trouble, we finally found the store. It seemed small from the outside but once I stepped in, it was kind of spacey. I love it!

There were rows of selections to make. Under the budget of RM200+, there were brands such as Chord and Gipsy Rose, and there are others like Yamaha & Maestro around RM300 which were more to classical's.

I chose Wolf based on the shop assistant's suggestion. He played it a little bit & I fell in love with its sound. He said the sound is as good as Yamaha brand, & I trust his judgement.

I was so happy with the way he entertained his customers. He answered all my dumb questions (I had forgotten a lot of guitar knowledge as I didn't touch a guitar for so many years & I asked a lot of dumb ones) and patiently show me selections of guitars under our budget. The best part, I never knew how to tune a guitar & never touch its neck. It had always been my brothers or my father who tuned the guitar for me back then. The shop assistant guided me how to use an electric tuner & guess what? I know how to do mine now! But of course, using an electric tuner :-)

So besides the Wolf guitar, I also got a black guitar strap for myself which cost only RM10, an electric tuner which cost RM48 and a guitar pick which comes free with the purchase.

After we made the purchase, the shop assistant asked our permission to snap our photos for their facebook fan page. We said why not? And we snapped some photos with a big smile on my face :-)

As soon as I reached home, I went to Youtube & search some old songs which I used to play. & I played them but with difficulties as I had forgotten so much! My husband was lying on the sofa while he watched me playing the guitar... Thank you hubby for this precious gift !! I am a one happy wifey <3

I beg to differ!! ^Asia's Next Top Model^

I know some of u might not fancy the famous tv series Asia's Next Top Model. I've a friend who looks like she might be crazy about the modelling world, as she adores fashion so much & her life evolves around lots of girlfriends, those kind of girl who likes drama, being the centre of attention and looking for popularities. Plus, she has a very nice figure like a model herself. But she never even once watch such shows. And I thought she would love it, given the fact that her life got so much similarities with the models from the show, but I thought wrong.

Who could have expected. Me on the other hand loves my own company and hate a bunch of pretty girls who act lame & always have attitude problems. Surprisingly, I love this show despite the person I appears to be. I once heard from another friend of mine, about the unfairness result produced by the judges when comes to the elimination part. They always save the wrong girl & eliminate the one who should stay longer in the competition. And because of that many have stop to watch this show. I totally agree with my friend, but despite all the criticism, I really do fancy this series. I love the drama, the excitement, the attitudes, the challenges, the pretty faces and the talents. Ahhh I just love this show ^_^ It's just soo exciting!

And it's not as easy as everyone thought it would be. It's not just all about catwalks and posing for photo shoots. There are so much more which includes tough challenges that most people couldn't do. I've always adore those models from this Tyra Bank's shows and appreciate their hard works. I could see that the road to the modelling success are so tough and they still work hard to achieve it. They are definitely not lame. Somehow they inspire me to work hard in achieving whatever my dreams are.

I followed some seasons in America's Next Top Model, but ever since I got to know that they are adapting to Asia's version, I was so thrilled. However, sadly I never got the chance to watch any of the episodes as my husband is not really into this shows. Every time the show was on, my husband was always there conquering the remote control and switched to other channels. I always missed my favourite shows (some of the less good part in marriage life haha)

So today I was alone at home and I got the privilege of owning the remote in my hands and I finally got to watch this show which was already at the 9th episodes. It's better late than never right? I got so excited with this shows that I googled it up and found their website!!! That means I got to catch up with all the episodes that I'd missed. ^_^

Check this out to see their full episodes, the judges, the contestants and all u need to know about Asia's Next Top Model ^_^

There are 14 contestants in this shows but as of today, there are only 6 contestants left. Check out the website to know all the contestants but here are the top 6:

1. Aastha Pokharel, from Nepal

2. Jessica Amornkuldilok from Thailand

3. Stephanie Retuya from Philippines

4. Helena Chan from Hong Kong

5. Kate Ma from Taiwan

6. Sofia Wakabayashi from Japan

My favourite was Helena Chan from Hong Kong, but unfortunately she was eliminated in this episode. I strongly disagree with the judges decision to eliminate Helena. To me, she is very talented in the sense of her creativity and confidence and so much more. She was also the strongest contender in the competition. I thought she would at least be the second runner up. I bet all the girls were surprised too, I could see their expressions after hearing the result delivered by the judge Nadya.

Earlier during this episode Helena won 2 of the challenges; Playboy Fragrance Video Challenge and Red Carpet Challenge. She excelled in both challenges and outshine others in the competition. She carried herself with confidence despite the criticism thrown her way. Throughout her existence, they always seemed to highlight Helena's attitude problem which to me was unfair. That seemed like a decision influenced by personal and emotional's sides, not a professional ones. She was there to win the competition, not to make friends, so, the hell with attitudes.

To me, as long as she delivers her tasks well, that's more than enough. I thought the judges knew better. But I was wrong. We know there are a lot of girls who have attitude problems, but she is different from others, she only reacts to those girls who step on her foot. She never act sucks for nothing. I believe many people can see that. She is very competitive & wanted to win the competition so badly since day 1. Prior to that, she had taken all challenges seriously & always think out of the box when given a challenge, but at the end the judges didn't appreciate it & told her she was putting a lot of pressure on herself. It feels sucks when someone that determined being accused of putting to much pressure on herself. Like seriously? In a competition if u always relax u will definitely loose. Have u heard the story about the slow turtle and the proud rabbit? I guess u got my point.

So anyway, I won't watch the cycle 1 anymore cos I don't have any favourites left. All of them are not as talented as Helena & I am so frustrated with the judges being so biased to save up an obviously weak contestants like Stephanie and Sofia. I will definitely want to know who's the winner at the end and I hope it's gonna be Jessica from Thailand. She is such a nice and soft-spoken girl.

Check out their shots~

Miscarried episodes~ The home traditional way

Following the event of my loss I experienced the other day, I finally miscarried naturally on Friday, 11th Jan. It was not a pleasant memory but it was a valuable experience of a lifetime.

After the hospital doctor told me that I had a missed abortion, I went back home with my husband and had a long conversation with my sister-in-law on the phone. She had gone through the same thing before, and she didn't go for the ERPOC process, so i intended to seek for her advice.

The idea of having someone sticking a tool into my bottom to suck the foetus out really scared me to death. And I also hate the thought of being disable and half-paralyse during the operation. So, I opt to do it naturally. My sister-in-law advised me to do a hot compress method, which in malay we called it as "bertungku". A heated river stone will be wrapped in a cloth and applied to the abdominal area, and sometimes a bit of the thigh area. By doing this method, the rotten foetus, the baby's sac and residual blood clots will be soften from the supplies of heat and will dissolves naturally through your bottom.

I did this method constantly for 2 days beginning on Thursday, 10th Jan and by 6pm the next day I started to feel the pains of miscarriage. However, they were bearable throughout the hours, and finally the foetus was out by 10pm, followed by the baby's sac at 1am. All the pains that I endured finally subsided and my breast has stopped feeling tender ever since. I guess the pregnancy hormones had reduced following my miscarriage.

On Tuesday 15th Jan, I was supposed to be warded and the next day an ERPOC process will be performed to clear my womb. I was so scared that the doctor might found some tissues left in my womb which an ERPOC process is necessary to undertake in order to remove them. So I googled up ways to do home treatment for cleaning the uterus so that the ERPOC process is not needed for myself.

Here's what I found out some ways that u can do at home, at an absolutely minimal cost~

1. Hot compress using a heated river stone wrapped with cloth
2. Sprinkle some cinnamon powder into your food (your warm soup, your drinks, your bread)
3. Doing some acupuncture process- apply some hot balm on your abdominal area, the tender spot in between your thumbs and forefingers, your shins and your knees and rub them gently
4. Take a hot bath twice a day

Within the days before I should get warded, I obediently followed all these tips. When the day finally arrived, I went to the hospital and the doctor performed a trans-vaginal scan through my bottom. He informed me that a tissue was found still left in my womb but an ERPOC process was not necessary as the tissue will eventually comes out naturally within 2 weeks time. According to him, the size of the tissue is just about 9mm while the minimum size of the tissue requires a removal using ERPOC process is 15mm. However, I was required to come to the clinic to perform a scan again on 1st February.

I was then discharged to go back and that ended my worries and nightmares ^_^ Alhamdulillah terima kasih ya Allah kerana memudahkan perjalanan ku ;-)

Now I am still in a healing process and still need to perform the hot compress method until 2 weeks time. It is believed to help the womb contract, break down fats and prevent the womb from sagging at old age. Apart from that, I also need to take other traditional remedies such as malaysian sea cucumber drink known as "air gamat" and turmeric drink known as "air jamu kunyit" to cleanse the uterus. My mother-in-law had booked a person to massage me later on for general care of the uterus and to return back my body just like before the pre-pregnancy state.

Hospitalised for almost 8 hours

"Air Gamat & "Air Jamu Kunyit" and a river stone

I will be back to work by the end of January.

Miscarried episodes~Breaking the rules,A day in IKEA

Today me and my husband did the craziest thing ever. Despite all the pantang larangs that I need to bear during my recovery period, we had both went to the IKEA store. (Moms, pls forgive me!)

He was supposed to finish work at 7pm today, but lately he is always home early to look after me. So, at 5pm he was already at home, and we were lying on the bed when that crazy idea crossed my mind. I told him, why not? I could use some fresh air & it might do me good. He was not into it at first but gave in due to my endless persuasions.

Where did that idea came from? My husband have always had this series of complaints about not having a proper couch to sit ever since we moved in to our new home. Many a time he asked permission to buy an IKEA sofa. I asked, y IKEA? They r damn expensive! Y not cavenzi, westcourt, or kedai perabot cina je? He said it's good to invest a bit in the selection of sofa as we will use it for a very very long time. He pointed out that my mom's sofa had torn out within a year as a result of fancying a lower price.

Tired of arguing, i eventually agreed. He started to list down everything he intended to buy & kept the list until today.

As soon as the idea sinked in, i told myself, I won't be walking much anyway.. He had obtained the product codes in his list. All we need to do is just go directly to the counter & place our orders. Simple right? So, y not!!

I jumped out of bed (despite my condition) and prepared all the necessities that I might need for myself. Haiya... tasha kalau dah excited, sekejap boleh sihat! so, with thick socks, sweater and hand gloves, we were finally set to go.

It was not a pleasant experience though. Out of excitement, I was smiling je most of the time. Rasa macam excited gila breaking rules. Humans tend to do crazy things unquestionably. And I'm no exceptional. But due to a lot of movements, pains finally triggered. Thank God everything went smooth & I didn't create any scene.

My husband bought an L-Shape chaise lounge and a wardrobe for us. All this while I had to keep my clothes in boxes :-( Today he has put an end to my poverty boxes ^_^

Like usual, IKEA requires 3 days period to deliver our items right to our doorstep. So, we only got to enjoy our new furnitures by this Thursday ^_^ Apart from that, he'd also bought some other things like stools, cushions, a throw, photo frames, scented candles and a lamp shade. I guess he needed to redeem back his satisfaction due to our cancelled trip to Indonesia..

After we shopped, we went to have dinner at the IKEA restaurant, and I had my favourite meatballs!! ^_^ I didn't have that much of an appetite though, he had to finish some for me.

I was so happy and for a split moment I forgot all my sorrows. Thanks hubby, you never fail to make me smile.....

I know u r not that financially stable. But what happened to me had opened up your soul to show me the best of u. I am so grateful! Thanks hubby ^_^ Xoxo!!

Sorrow of mine~My Story

This is actually a sequel to my pregnancy entry that I had posted previously.

If u read those, i believe u'd cme across d ones that I mentioned about complications. As i told u, since the day i figured out that i was pregnant i was having some spotting in my discharge. I did seek for medical advice but all doctors that i met could not predict anything as the pregnancy state was too early. Usia kehamilan masih terlalu awal utk tahu punca sebenar pendarahan kecil yg I alami.

The day I made a home pregnancy test and it turned out to be positive, i went to a clinic to chck y my stomach hurts so badly. The doctor prformed an ultrasound scan but was not able to see anything, not even a baby's sac. Though it was frustrating, It was also acceptable given that it was still too early & normal laa kalau x nampak within the 4th to 5th weeks.. I went back home & carry on with my daily lives assuming that i was still pregnant n nothing cud b wrong. Like my mom said, it cud just be~pembawaan bayi..

On the 19/12/2012, my stomach triggered another painful cramps.. I rushed to the hospital and the doctor did an ultrasound scan but still wasnt able to see anything. He then performed a TVS scan, which was through my bottom & finally could see a baby's sac and a fetus but with no heartbeat. I was then at 6 and a half weeks old. I was advised by the doctor to wait till about 2 weeks more for another scan and to see whether the baby's heartbeat wud develop by then. Frustrated, i went back home.

It was more than 2 weeks of waiting, it was almost a month.. I could see a bump was performing on my belly and I was about 9 weeks old. Loyally consumed vitamins n milk, I continued believing that my baby was growing. Although day by day I experienced a light cramping n pink / brown discharge, i assumed it was just those things that normal moms experienced during the first trimester. Finally on the 9th January 2013, as I was about to go off from the office, there was fresh blood leaking from my bottom and I rushed to the clinic. The doctor made an ultrasound scan and figured out that I had a miscarriage and the ultrasound scan showed my pregnancy was at 5 weeks old when it was supposed to be 9 weeks old. It was hard for me to believe, and i was not ready to accept it.

I went off from the clinic and rushed to the hospital. I drove alone and with all the nonsense twirling inside my head, i barely realised i was driving. All i heard were loud honking as my visions were blurred by the tears streaming down my face. At the hospital, i was with my husband. I waited patiently and finally i was brought in a scan room by a female doctor and she performed another TVS scan thru my bottom.

Finally, she told me the same thing that the clinic doctor told me. That my baby had stopped developing eversince week 5 and it was a missed miscarriage, and there was still no heartbeat.
She adviced me to undergo an ERPOC process to which they will vacuum out the fetus and the baby's sac and she wanted me to get it done by the nxt day. I wasnt ready and asked for another 1 week time to let it go out naturally. The doctor agreed, she admitted that after an erpoc, it might be a bit difficult and requires some time to have the second chance of conceiving.
Anyhow, i still have to do it as the fetus could turned rotten inside my womb and my health could be affected.

I was devastated. My husband hugged me and told me it was okay. i cried so hard. even my plans for honeymoon in Indonesia also need to be cancelled due to my state. But he said everything will be okay and that he is thankful to God that I am okay and still alive, according to him, thats all that matters. Everyone surrounded me keep telling me the same thing again and again. That it was okay, that i was still young and still got a lot of time to go for another chance. Tired of crying, I finally accept the fact that it was not meant for me this time.

With tears streaming down my face, I realised that things happen for a reason. I wanted to be angry, i wanted to start questioning my fate. But I didnt do it cos I know He knows best. Maybe He is telling me that it is not my time yet.

Whatever has happened, I am very grateful.. Because he has given me faith that I CAN conceive. If anything, I am very grateful to be given the pregnancy experience even for a short while.. I know i cant afford to have a breakdown, this is just a small thing that happens in life, and this is such a lucky thing to experience compared to other bigger ones that women experience in their lives.

Today, i went to the hospital again with determination, that i want to end this episode once and for all. I am getting a very painful and throbbing headaches since yesterday which I suspected is due to my state and keep vomiting whenever I eat something. The fetus and everything are still inside my womb, and I had undergo a traditional home remedies since yesterday but there was nothing came out from my bottom, so I am very determined to undergo the erpoc process.

I will be admitted to the hospital on Tuesday 15th and will undergo the process on the next day, jan 16th. Please pray for my health... I believe I will survive this test and will be healthy once again. And will have the chances to update many more stories in my blog ^_^ Will update you guys later once I'm conscious and well k! Thanks for being with me from the start. Xoxo

Crimes, Mysteries & Light Readings ~ Top Authors of my choice

Jom tengok my favorite authors!! Mana tahu kalau u all rasa nak cuba baca...

Back in my early 20's, I preferred Mysteries & Crime genres when choosing my novels. Compared to others, I got easily attached to these kinds. To me, they were such a page turner & sampaikan I terlupa nak makan, minum dan mandi, hehe... Mom would always scolded me for that..

I discovered that I loved these kind of novels when I came across the "Nancy Drew Series". I was at that time still about 8 years old. The novels were in Malay version by the titled of "Siri Salma"... Hahaha I am smiling now as I type these, cos I still can remember all those childhood memories. As a result from my obsessions with Siri Salma, me and my childhood bestfriends played the series and everyone fought to be the detective. Kelakar sgt kalau ingat balik, siap reka sendiri jalan cerita & berlakon ikut suka hehehehe... ^_^

Selain tu ada gak Hardy Boys Series.. Author untuk Nancy Drew Series is Carolyn Keene. Dia ni betul2 talented. Banyak tau series buku ni.... Beratus2...

Nancy Drew Series & The Hardy Boys, both were Mysteries & Crimes Genres

When I get older & preferred more English reading, I started to collect books from Nancy Drew Series. Tapi masa reached my teenage years, I dah tak minat sgt Nancy Drew and started to go for other authors, like Sidney Sheldon, Andrea Kane, etc.

So, in Mysteries & Crimes genres, 3 top authors I'd ever come across so far are~

1.  Andrea Kane
~ Full of actions, twisted endings & satisfyingly gives the right impacts, no disgusting scenes, thoroughly studied on every facts first before making a novel.
Andrea Kane

Semua buku Andrea Kane kat atas ni I dh baca. 'Twisted' best tapi simple. It was more for a light reading. Paling best is "I'll be watching you' and 'Run for your life'...

 2. Sidney Sheldon
~ Exciting, Action packed, cerita dia mostly mesti ada libatkan lawyer, court rooms, mmg best!

The late talented Sidney Sheldon

Cuba baca if u minat misteri....

Paling best ~ Memories of midnight

3. And finally my choice yang ke 3..!!!!

~~~~>   Stieg Larsson!!!
Nama mcm kenal, buku mana dia tulis? The late Stieg Larsson (Passed away masa usia dia masih muda, sayangkan... mmm) had produced a handful of novels but ada 3 novels yang jadi bestseller and hit gilaaaa sampai jadi movie:~
The late Stieg Larsson
Jeng Jeng Jeng.... 3 novels dia yang hit tu adalahhhhhh~~
Mesti u tahu kan debut novels ni... Mmg famous gila!! ^_^ Cuba baca, mmg best sgt!
As I got older, I could no longer relate to these kind of novels. I could no longer read something so heavy like solving a mystery. I prefer light reading now and more to romance, comedies and love stories.
In this genre, I prefer novels2 dari Cecelia Ahern.. Dia ni anak kepada Perdana Menteri Ireland.. Novel dia mostly amek scene kat Ireland and watak2 Irish people... Salah 1 yang famous sampai jadi movie ~ P/s, I love You! tapi citer ni sedih, I cried mcm gila... :'(
Cecelia Ahern
I read all 3 and they were awesome, especially Rosie Dunne...
In 2012 end of the year, I discovered Emily Giffin... I love her writings so much and so far I only got 2 of her novels. Will surely look for more!!
I highly suggest this author to u girls.  Novels dia pun are one of those yang adapted to films..
Emily Giffin
The duo series. Dua2 citer ni related. Mmg best and something borrowed dah jadi movie pun...
So cuba lah find one of their books mentioned here k! Kalau u come across any titles yang interesting let me know!
